This project involved selective demolition of approximately 2500SF of existing space in the basement of the BioScience Building at Duke University. The scope of work included construction of a new aquatic biology lab, acoustical research chamber, and office space to support the pending research. One major challenge of the project was to install and maintain a watertight environment as there were active classrooms below in the sub-basement of this occupied facility.
